Tenor recorder sounds very "airy"

I just obtained an Aulos Empire plastic tenor.

The notes sound good from low C until middle C. However, once I hit D and all notes above, the instrument sounds EXTREMELY “airy.”

So airy that it’s very distracting and makes the sound very unpleasant.

I have a Yamaha alto, an Aulos soprano, and a Woodnote sopranino and none of them have this issue.
