My name is John and I am new here. I started playing the recorder (Yamaha Ecodear Soprano) seriously about a year ago, I’m learning on my own so it is taking awhile. To make a long story short about 2-months ago I ordered a Resin Ebony (442 picth) Soprano C with single tone-holes from Vincent Bernolin, France. I received it today! Wow, I can’t say enough good things about my purchase, I love everything about this instrument!! I play with a straight-finger-style (bagpipe-style) for my fingering because of occasional flair-ups from arthritis. The entire piece is a work of art, it plays in tune and is a joy to play, even st my skill-level. I joined a the Portland Recorder Society a week ago, to network and to get beginner-lessons. I’m so looking forward to joining all of you!
