I am starting a recorder ensemble in my town and need to start building a library. Are there any collections, anthologies, or specific pieces anyone can suggest? We have enough players for 4 parts, SATB, but suggestions would be appreciated.

I’m a beginner and haven’t played any consort pieces, but I’d look around on IMSLP for a start. There are also some reasonably-priced scores available from Nicholas Wynne. Also, if you’re a member of the American Recorder Society, they have scores available as well, with a good search feature that lets you specify number of parts, difficulty, occasion, style, composer, et cetera.

EDIT: Just realized I’m replying to a very old post. Whoops.
