Hello,
I am trying to play tunes using different recorders on separate tracks. I have noticed that some notes sound really bad together. In one tune I play a high A on the alto and a high E on the soprano, and that combination causes a screeching sound when I am the slightest bit out of tune. I have checked that using a tuning app and it happens even if I am out of tune by just a few cents, and even if I am in tune I have the impression that it still sounds quite bad. My guess is that I am hearing a beat.
Am I doing anything wrong or is this normal? Are people able to play so much in tune that this doesn’t happen or they just deal with it?thanks in advance for your advice
