I noticed on the bottom of my fingering sheet a note to occasionally apply vegetable grease to the joints. What sort of grease should I use, and how often?

Should say it’s a plastic recorder.

I’ve read that you should not use regular cork grease on a plastic recorder. Yamaha makes a joint cream for their plastic recorders. You can buy it online at http://www.aswltd.com/recacc.htm#acc and I’m not sure about the instructions for use (I’ve only played wooden recorders with cork joints).

I’ve been told Vaseline (petroleum jelly) is good

May I use Aulos joint grease (for plastic recorders) on the cork joints of my Moeck wooden recorders?
