I LOVE the look of the Aris Dream, and the fact it is a Renaissance tenor.
Don’t mean to be overly pedantic, but strictly it’s “sort of like a Renaissance tenor”. It has the extended range of a transitional instrument and more-or-less baroque fingering while the wide bore does give it a sound closer to a renaissance instrument. There is excellent information about this on Philippe Bolton’s website if you have not seen it: http://www.flute-a-bec.com/evolutionpercegb.html. Likewise, Sarah Jeffery covers this in her intro to renaissance recorders, and recommends the Dream as a good starting point. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd39KAbPvpE – the section covering the Dream starts at about 6:45.
