Mollenhauer Kynseker exteral maintenace

Any suggestions on best maintenance for the exterior of Mollenhauer Kynseker recorders both maple and plum wood? There is a lot about bore oils and such, but less about the exterion. They seem to have no shiny finish so I am guessing they are simply oiled, but I am not sure. Whether to oil or wax, or perhaps there is some better solution.
