Thank you so much for this advice DC, I really appreciate it. I am now the very proud owner of a Mollenhauer Denner Bass! I highly recommend woodenrecorders.co.nz to anyone based in New Zealand. They very generously allowed me to try it before buying it which I was not expecting considering they had to import it all the way from Germany especially for me. As it turned out it was not necessary because it was love at first sight. I absolutely love the way it sounds! I have to confess my other recorders have been a bit neglected since its arrival!
